Welding Techniques ’11

Kandise MacLeod has effectively used her apprenticeship at the Boilermakers Union to grow in her career as a boilermaker journeyperson and a Radiation Protection Coordinator. She holds a key, supervisory position at the Darlington Nuclear Generating Station and is responsible for ensuring the safety of her fellow tradespeople who are working in a radiological environment. She is highly skilled in the trades and has taken college programs and training to build on her skills as a welder. She is a role model for women who’d want to join the trades as a steady, well-paying profession.
