Sheridan Business Grad Selected for Pythons Pit

Randy Pilon has been selected as a "Python" for Pythons' Pit, the newest initiative by Rotary in Halton and McMaster University's DeGroote School of Business. Pythons' Pit is a great opportunity for budding entrepreneurs and students within Halton Region to pitch their creative business idea or concept to a panel of local business moguls, the Pythons, in exchange for a chance to win investment capital, cash prizes or a bursary. Qualifying contestants will benefit from the guidance of the Pythons, as well as a group of industry experts representing a variety of diverse professions, the Mentors. Randy Pilon (Business, 1982) founded Virox Technologies Inc., an Oakville-based company, in 1999 after a successful career with Bausch & Lomb. Virox, a producer of disinfection products, has achieved global success, and Randy has been recognized for his entrepreneurial achievements in national media and as a recipient of the Oakville Award for Business Excellence-Entrepreneur of the Year. He is also a member of Sheridan’s Business Hall of Fame.
