You May Be Interested If:
You're a senior level secondary school student who wants to explore an interest in a career in marketing, or any area in business.
Enrollment in a co-op term or an alternative education program is preferred. You will be provided with public transit tickets to get to and from the college campus for your classes.
What Will I Learn/Do?
You will take one course: Marketing 1, where you will learn the essentials of marketing from one of our business professors, who are passionate educators and experienced professionals. You will gain valuable learning through interactive and engaging lectures, hands-on application of key concepts with in-class activities, and through a collaborative group assignment where you will conduct an industry and company analysis, culminating in a group presentation.
Course Descriptions:
Marketing 1
Students are introduced to the fundamental processes and concepts of marketing and how they are applied to today's business environment. Students gain an overview of the market environment, market research, consumer behaviour, business to business marketing, marketing metrics and the roles of segmentation, targeting and positioning. Learning experiences include classroom lecture/discussion and self-directed learning through research and presentations.

There are numerous pathways that you can pursue at the Pilon School of Business. We offer diploma, degree, certificate and bachelor’s degree programs in a variety of business disciplines.
Many of our programs also offer additional experience through an optional co-op placement, which may lead to employment opportunities after you graduate.
If you choose to pursue a Business Administration – Marketing diploma, you will be eligible for a Professional Sales Certificate from the Canadian Professional Sales Association (CPSA) upon completion of the program.
