ESL

Sheridan offers full-time, intensive English as a Second Language (ESL) classes for students who want to improve their English skills for personal, professional or academic reasons.

The highest level, English for Academic Purposes (EAP) can provide students with a conditional acceptance into a diploma, degree or post-graduate certificate at Sheridan.

Program Features

  • 5 levels of instruction: Foundation, Pre-Intermediate, Intermediate, Advanced and EAP
  • Each of the first four levels consists of an A and B module
  • Each session is 7 weeks (25 hours/week)
  • Students are tested upon arrival

Level Placement:

Students are placed in an appropriate level of ESL based on their level of English proficiency. Students can choose to either submit a valid TOEFL or IELTS score, or write the Sheridan ESL Placement test on the first day of classes.
