Scholarships and Academic Awards

Sheridan offers a variety of scholarships and bursaries exclusively for international students. Although criteria differ for each award, recipients of scholarships and bursaries are typically students who display high academic standings, exemplary leadership skills and community involvement, as well as financial need.

Bachelor Degree Entrance Scholarships

We are pleased to offer a $2,000 Entrance Scholarship to students who are entering our Bachelor Degree programs (joint-degree programs excluded) for the September 2017 term.  This scholarship is to recognize international students with high academic achievement.  Students will be automatically considered for this award based on the transcripts submitted at time of application.  Applicants with offers into our Bachelor Degree programs as of April 30th will be considered for this award.  Successful applicants will be notified via email by June 1st.

Returning International Students

International EAP (English for Academic Purposes) Award

This award is to recognize international students who have completed Sheridan's EAP program with high academic achievement who are continuing their education in one of Sheridan's full-time post-secondary programs beginning in September 2016 and January 2017. This award is valued at $500 for students continuing into our Certificate, Diploma and Post-Graduate programs and $1,000 for students continuing into our Bachelor Degree programs. Sheridan's joint degree programs with other universities are not eligible for this scholarship. Students will be automatically considered for this award, no application will need to be submitted.  Successful applicants will be notified via email.

 

International Students GuardMe Scholarship – Winter 2017

Twenty (20) scholarships of $1,000 each will be available to returning students enrolled full-time (excludes co-op) in certificate, diploma or post-graduate program (except Bachelor Degree programs) for the Winter 2017 term at Sheridan who demonstrate good academic standing (GPA of 3.0 or during the last full-time academic semester within the last year in current program, excludes co-op work terms). Application deadline: Friday, February 3, 2017.

Ten (10) scholarships of $1,500 each will be available to returning students enrolled full-time (excludes co-op) in Bachelor Degree programs (joint degree excluded) for the Winter 2017 term at Sheridan who demonstrate good academic standing (GPA of 3.0 or higher during the last full-time academic semester within the last year in current program, excludes co-op work terms). Application deadline: Friday, February 3, 2017.

Five (5) bursaries of $1,500 each will be available to returning international students enrolled full-time (excludes co-op) for the Winter 2017 term (not in first year of program) with good academic standing (in the last full-time academic semester within the last year in current program) who demonstrate financial need. Application deadline: Friday, February 3, 2017.
