Scholarships and Academic Awards
Sheridan offers a variety of scholarships and bursaries exclusively for international students. Although criteria differ for each award, recipients of scholarships and bursaries are typically students who display high academic standings, exemplary leadership skills and community involvement, as well as financial need.
Bachelor Degree Entrance Scholarship
We'll offer a $2,000 Entrance Scholarship to eligible students who are entering our Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree programs. This scholarship is to recognize international students with high academic achievement who have obtained a GPA average of 75% and higher. Students will be automatically considered for this award based on the transcripts submitted at the time of application. Award recipients will be notified via email.
Returning International Students
International EAP (English for Academic Purposes) Award
This award is to recognize international students who have successfully completed Sheridan's EAP program with a General Arts and Science Ontario College Certificate, who are continuing their education in one of Sheridan's full-time post-secondary programs. This award is valued at $500 for students continuing into our Certificate, Diploma and Post-Graduate programs and $1,000 for students continuing into our Bachelor Degree programs. Sheridan's joint degree programs with other universities are not eligible for this award. Students will be automatically considered for this award; no application will need to be submitted. Award recipients will be notified via email.
International Students guard.me Scholarship – Outstanding Achievement in Academics & Community Involvement - Winter 2021
Thirteen (13) scholarships of $1,000 each will be available to returning Sheridan international students enrolled full-time (excludes co-op) in certificate, diploma or post-graduate programs (Bachelor Degrees excluded) for the Winter 2021 term. Students must demonstrate good academic standing: GPA of 3.0 or higher during the last full-time academic semester within the last year in the current program (co-op terms excluded).

guard.me International Needs-Based Bursary – Winter 2021
Six (6) bursaries of $1,500 each will be available to returning Sheridan international students enrolled full-time (excludes co-op) for the Winter 2021 term (not in first year of program). Students must demonstrate financial need and good academic standing: GPA of 2.0 or higher for Diploma and Certificate programs, and GPA of 2.4 or higher for Degree programs in the last full-time academic semester within the last year in the current program (co-op terms excluded).

International Students Medical Expense Bursary - Winter 2021
Medical expense bursaries are available (up to a maximum of $500) to Sheridan international students enrolled for the Winter 2021 term (joint degrees excluded). This bursary is available to international students who incurred out of pocket medical expenses not covered by their health insurance plan (guard.me).
Applications will open on January 4, 2021 and will close on February 5, 2021.

International Leadership Award - Winter 2021
Sheridan’s International Centre presents this award to students who demonstrate outstanding leadership and engagement on campus. This award is to recognize international students for their leadership and engagement contributions to Sheridan. Demonstrated involvement may include outstanding contributions in the classroom, student/campus life, leadership roles in student government, clubs and associations, being a peer mentor or an i-Star etc.
