With over 19 years of Small Business Consulting and Commercial Banking experience with major Financial Institutions, Susan is well experienced in providing Accounting and Finance instruction. Prior to her finance career, Susan started, managed and consulted Small businesses since graduating from Queens University in 1988. She was a Business consultant with the Provincial Government and operating a consulting business in the early 1990s. Joining BMO Bank of Montreal in 1994 she expanded her knowledge base learning about Finance, Financial Services Management, Commercial and Retail lending and Financial Services management. While at BMO, she received her Gold Medal Fellowship with the Institute of the Canadian Bankers in 2002, an MBA with Dalhousie University in Finance/Financial Services in 2005 and had two boys. While she started her teaching career at Loyalist College facilitating and instructing Small business management courses for 6 years ending in 1999, she has enjoyed teaching at the Faculties of Business and Continuing Professional Studies this past year.
At the end of 2012, she left BMO to pursue her love of teaching and consulting. She splits her time teaching at Sheridan and being a Banking consultant for Manulife Bank.
