Leo began his full time teaching career at Sheridan in 1997. Prior to joining Sheridan, his professional design experience included work in architectural and interior design firms. His portfolio includes custom residential, corporate, hospitality, retail and institutional projects. He holds a Bachelor of Professional Arts in Communication Studies from Athabasca University and an Advanced Diploma in Interior Design from Sheridan College. He is NCIDQ certified and an Educator member of ARIDO.

Leo has taught a variety of courses in the Interior Design Program, including Building Technology, Sustainable Practices, Interior Detailing and a variety of studio courses. He enjoys working with students on technical subjects such as building code, sustainable construction strategies and building methods. He reinforces the process of design and encourages his students to take creative risks as they explore their design solutions. His specific interests are in sustainable building strategies and passive solar housing. He also serves on the Sheridan Senate and Local Academic Council (LAC).
