Haquikat Bains
Haquikat Bains is a dedicated Sheridan student leader and community volunteer with a strong commitment to academic success, student advocacy, and social impact. Currently pursuing a Bachelor in Cybersecurity at Sheridan College, Haquikat has been actively involved across campus through multiple leadership and volunteer roles. He serves as a Peer Mentor, supporting fellow students in their academic and personal journeys, and has contributed to Sheridan’s governance as a Student Representative on the Sheridan Advisory Council. Haquikat is also engaged with several campus initiatives and clubs, including the Sheridan Student Union, the Sikh Students Association, and Sheridan’s Mission Zero sustainability program.
Beyond campus, Haquikat extends his commitment to service through volunteering with organizations such as the Toronto Public Library’s Adult Literacy Program and Khalsa Aid. His broad involvement reflects his passion for fostering student engagement, promoting equity, and strengthening connections between students, faculty, and the wider community.
As a member of Sheridan’s Board of Governors, Haquikat brings the perspective of an engaged student leader who is committed to advancing the student voice, supporting inclusive education, and contributing to Sheridan’s mission of building a thriving, forward-looking learning environment.
