Co-op and Internship Fees

Co-op and internship students receive comprehensive support throughout their preparation course, job search and work term. All co-op/internship students are subject to the following two fees.

1. Work-Term and Career Preparation Program Ancillary Fee

A $300 fee is applied in the semester in which the preparation course is delivered. This course provides practical tools and strategies to help students secure work terms and build long‑term career success, including job search techniques, networking and self‑marketing.

Please note that the Master of Animation, Games and Immersive Experience program has three Internship Preparation semesters with a fee of $200 per semester for a total of $600.

2. Job Search and Work-Term Fee

A co-op/internship work-term fee is applied in the semester before the work term. This provides wraparound service during your job search and during the work term. The fee is not a placement fee and does not guarantee securing a work-term position. Fee amounts are applied as follows:

    • Bachelor's degrees and two-year graduate certificates: A fee of $650 is applied in the semester before the work term where a co-op/internship is required for graduation.
    • Advanced diplomas, diplomas and one-year graduate certificates: A fee of $550 is applied in the semester before the work term where co-op/internship is optional (e.g., you applied to co-op and were admitted to a separate co-op stream).
    • Master's degree: A fee of $850 is applied in the semester before the work term.
  • A fee of $500 is applied per work term, applied four months before the work-term start date, regardless of program/credential level.

  • The job search and work-term fee outlined above is applied again in the semester before the deferred work term.
