Applicant Selection
Eligible applicants will be selected on the basis of their previous academic achievement (the average of their six highest senior-level credits, including required courses).
Applicants who do not meet the admission requirements for this program will be assessed and advised individually and may be considered for other, related programs.

Bursaries for Grade 12 Students Pursuing Studies Toward a Career in Law
The annual Bursary Program for grade 12 students pursuing careers in the justice sector at an Ontario university or college is now open! Bursaries are offered by the Association of Justices of the Peace of Ontario (AJPO), the Association of Ontario Judges (AOJ) and the Ontario Superior Court Judges’ Association (OSCJA). Each association offers one bursary per year in each of their judicial regions for a total of 22 bursaries province-wide!

Transfer Opportunities
As a graduate of Sheridan’s General Arts and Science certificate program, you’ll have the opportunity to transfer to one of our partner universities and apply transfer credits towards your degree (students need to meet the university’s admissions requirements).
Admission requirements may vary from university to university. Please also note that transfer agreements will refer to specific programs at a given university.
Your academic adviser will be able to guide you through this process and answer any questions you have.
GAS-U certificate grads can transfer to any one of the following universities:

- Wilfrid Laurier University
- Brock University
- Lakehead University

Graduates of the one-year Sheridan College General Arts and Science certificate program who achieve a cumulative average of 75% (cGPA 3.3) or greater may be eligible for transfer credit of up to 15 units toward their B.A. program in McMaster University’s Faculty of Social Sciences. Transfer credit will be determined at the time of admission.
