Looking for something fun and educational for your child this August? Register for one, or several of Sheridan's hands-on summer camps hosted by the Faculty of Applied Science and Technology.
All camps will be held online.
UN Sustainable City Camp

- Ages 9 - 12
- Dates: Monday, August 16, Wednesday, August 18, and Friday, August 20
- Time: 8:30 am to 10:30 am

Sheridan is delighted to invite kids to learn about the United Nations (UN) Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and explore their creativity by build models for sustainable future Canadian cities – promoting prosperity while protecting the planet.
Participants will explore:
- Careers in architecture and engineering
- How to design future cities
- Issues such as energy and water consumption, climate change and urbanization
- How Sheridan is implementing the SDGs throughout our campuses
Science Explorer Camp

- Ages 9 - 12
- Dates: Monday, August 16, Wednesday, August 18, and Friday, August 20
- Time: 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm
- Register for Science Explorer Camp
Students will undertake three science experiments to explore:
- Electromechanical reactions
- Self-inflating balloons
- Slushy Day, where they’ll discover the freezing point of substances and make their own slushy!
Participants will receive a supply package that will be used to create the experiments. Safety materials will also be included.
MIT App Inventor Camp

- Ages 12 - 17
- Session 1 Dates: Monday, August 16 to Friday, August 20
- Session 2 Dates: Monday, August 23 to Friday, August 27
- Time: 9:00 am to 10:30 am and 1:00 pm – 2:30 pm

Have you ever wondered how to create a mobile app? This is your chance to learn how! Join us for this fun-filled camp where you’ll develop your own apps. No prior coding knowledge is required.
Programming for each session is the same, so participants should register for one week only.
The camp takes place during both the morning and afternoon sessions each day.

- Access to laptop/desktop computer is ideal
