Updates on the Faculty Strike

Overview

Strike action at Ontario's public colleges, including Sheridan, will commence on Monday, October 16.

Classes for full-time and part-time students have been suspended for the duration of the strike. Classes for Faculty of Continuing and Professional Studies students will proceed as scheduled.

The collective agreement for academic staff (faculty, counsellors and librarians) at all of Ontario’s 24 public colleges expired on September 30, 2017. No new contract agreement has been reached.

The Sheridan community will be notified as more information becomes available. The colleges remain committed to keeping our students’ learning the top priority.

What's Open and Closed?

During the strike, buildings on Sheridan’s campuses will remain open with security on site.

Please note: Assessment Centres are closed for make-up tests for full-time and part-time students, but will be open for Faculty of Continuing and Professional Studies tests and prospective students' pre- and post-admission tests.
