Indigen:US – Artist and Curator Talk Lunch and Learn

Time 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM

Location HMC - Library and Learning Commons, A-Wing, 1st floor (across from the Tutoring Centre), 4180 Duke of York Blvd., Mississauga

Library and Learning Services invites you to hear photographer and Sheridan graduate Elijah Munroe and Curator, Creative Campus Galleries, Catherine Hale, discuss their collaboration on the exhibit, Indigen:US.

The exhibit, featured April to August in the HMC Library Learning Commons, explores how the Canadian government-issued status card influences the identity of First Nations, Métis, and Inuit people in the Sheridan community and in Canada. How did the artist and curator work together to create this photographic exploration of status cards and identity? What is a status card and how does it influence a person’s sense of who they are?

Bring your questions and your lunch.
