Art Hives: Talk, Build Community and Make Art

Location HMC - Creative Campus Galleries - B-Wing, 2nd floor, 4180 Duke of York Blvd., Mississauga

On Tuesday, March 5 and Thursday, March 7, students and staff are invited to participate in an Art Hive at the Creative Campus Galleries, HMC B-Wing. Drop by for five minutes or stay the whole time – it’s up to you how you want to participate in this community-building activity!

What's an Art Hive?

It's a space that involves dialogue, skill sharing, and art making between people of different socio-economic backgrounds, ages, cultures and abilities. It welcomes everyone as an artist and believe art making is a human behaviour, it celebrates the strengths and creative capacities of individuals and communities, shares resources including the abundant materials available for creative reuse and includes many more benefits.

You don’t need to be studying in an arts discipline nor have any previous experience participating in an art hive. You just need to be interested in getting creative in a hands-on and social environment.

  • Tuesday, March 5 from noon to 4 p.m.
  • Thursday, March 7 from 1:30 p.m. to 4 p.m.

We hope to see you there!
