HDSB Postsecondary Exploration Event

Halton District School Board students and families: Welcome to the inaugural, in-person HDSB Postsecondary Exploration Event hosted by Sheridan College!

The HDSB Postsecondary Exploration Event includes:

• Daytime events for Grade 12 and 12+ students only (attending by bus from their respective high schools); and
• An evening event for Grade 11, 12 and 12+ students and their parents/guardians.

Daytime events (Grade 12 and 12+ HDSB students only)

October 24–26 | 10 a.m.–1:30 p.m.

Spanning three days at Sheridan’s Trafalgar Road Campus in Oakville, this event will provide an opportunity for students from across the Halton District School Board to engage with institutions and organizations representing all postsecondary pathways (apprenticeship, college, community, university and workplace).

This pathways fair will also include postsecondary preparation workshops to help students feel confident and prepared to tackle their next steps after high school graduation.

Event schedule

Evening event (Grade 11–12+ HDSB students and families)

October 25 | 6–8 p.m.

The HDSB Postsecondary Exploration Event will extend into the evening on Wednesday, October 25 from 6–8 p.m.

This evening event is open to all Grade 11–12+ HDSB students and their parents/guardians. Note that pre-registration for the event and workshops is not required.

Location: The pathways fair will take place in the gym. Parking for the evening event is available in Lots 5, 6 and 7. View campus map.

In addition to the fair, the workshop for the evening — Preparing for Postsecondary — will lay out important information about pathway options, student supports, research and exploration tips, and financial planning.

The workshop will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis at the following times:

• 6:15 p.m.
• 7:15 p.m.
