Position: HIV-AIDS Activist
Muluba Habanyama is an HIV-AIDS activist and an inspiration to youth looking to college education as a means of improving their personal and professional lives. At college, she found the courage to break her silence about living with HIV. Habanyama uses national and international platforms to talk about issues that affect people living with HIV and is an Ambassador for the Canadian Foundation for AIDS Research. She has served as Honorary Chair of the 2015 Scotiabank AIDS Walk for Life in Peel and received a Black Women Moving Forward Award for Advocacy.
