Film Screening: Dim the Fluorescents

Time 7:00 PM

Location Trafalgar - 1430 Trafalgar Rd, Oakville, Ontario, L6H 2L1

The Sheridan Alumni Office is proud to welcome Media Arts grad and Director, Daniel Warth to campus for an exclusive screening of Dim the Fluorescents

Dim The Fluorescents follows the friendship and creative partnership between struggling actor Audrey (Claire Armstrong) and aspiring playwright Lillian (Naomi Skwarna). Lacking a proper outlet for their creativity, they funnel all of their considerable passion and talent into the only paying work they can find: role-playing demonstrations for corporate seminars. As wryly funny as it is unexpectedly poignant, Dim The Fluorescents is a one-of-a-kind portrait of the artistic life and process in the unlikeliest of settings.

Dim the Fluorescents is one of ten films - and the only Canadian film - featured on The Globe and Mail's list of the films that could redefine 2017 in cinema. Critic Barry Hertz describes Dim the Fluorescents as "an intoxicating feature debut [that] cements [Daniel Warth's] status as one of this country's most exciting, raw voices".
Join us to watch Dim the Fluorescents followed by a Q&A session with Daniel Warth.
