Patrice Esson

Patrice  Esson



Patrice Esson earned her Ph.D. in Industrial-Organizational Psychology from Virginia Tech. She has over 10 years of experience teaching at the college and university levels. Her teaching repertoire includes introductory and advanced level psychology and business management related courses. Patrice is also actively involved in curriculum development.

Outside of her academic endeavours, Patrice has also worked as an applied psychologist. She has consulted on several projects related to performance appraisals, and evaluating the effectiveness of training programs.

Patrice takes a scientist-practitioner approach to her research. Her research interests include work-life balance, work motivation, technology in the workplace, and creativity. Patrice has presented her research at several professional conferences including The Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology Annual Conferences, Academy of Management Annual Conference and the Biannual Equal Opportunity, Diversity, and Culture Research Symposium.
