Enhanced Language Training (ELT) Pathways Program
Sheridan’s ELT Pathways program is FREE for newcomers to Canada preparing to find employment.
At Sheridan, we call the Enhanced Language Training Pathways program "ELT Pathways" because it provides a pathway to employment in your field.
If you are internationally trained and experiencing barriers to finding appropriate work in Canada, then ELT Pathways can help you find a job that matches your skills.
Our ELT Pathways program provides:
- Language in the workplace
- Understanding of Canadian workplace culture
- Enhancement of workplace essential skills
- Career exploration, job search and employment preparation
Upcoming ELT Pathways Program*
ELT Pathways is a full-time, 12-week in-class program offered only in Mississauga:
Hazel McCallion Campus in Mississauga
May 14, 2018 to August 2, 2018
Monday to Thursday
9:00 am to 3:00 pm
Next scheduled deliveries for ELT Pathways will start in September 2018 and January 2019.

Program Eligibility
To be eligible, you need to meet the following requirements:
- Canadian status is one of the following:
- A Permanent Resident
- A Convention Refugee (Notice of Decision)
- Government Assisted Refugee (GAR)
- Privately Sponsored Refugee (PSR)
- Minimum Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) scores of 6
- Post-secondary degree or diploma
- Relevant work experience
If you are a newcomer to Canada, you may be eligible for LINC or OSLT programs.

- Trafalgar Campus (Oakville) on Wednesdays at 10:30am in room B358
- HMC Campus (Mississauga) on Thursdays at 10:30am in room B320C
