Closer than you think

Goodbye Oakville, Hello Brampton

Sheridan's current Skills Training Centre in Oakville will be relocating to Brampton in Fall 2017 to join the expanding Davis Campus. This move will allow students and faculty to take advantage of all the amenities of a full service campus, including new classrooms, workshops and labs, access to exercise facilities, cafeteria dining and being part of a larger post-secondary community.

Students will also benefit by being co-located with our Engineering programs, and can pursue a collaborative education in one shared location. Bringing the two streams together will allow students to gain a more comprehensive exposure to both sides of construction — skilled trades and engineering.

Brampton has a strong reputation in advanced manufacturing, with many companies already partnering with our Faculty of Applied Science and Technology. Bringing our skilled trades and apprenticeship students to Brampton provides an outstanding opportunity to work with local industry through placements, co-ops and work-term placements.

Equally important, Sheridan will be able to provide a "one-stop-shop" for local industry to work with talented and knowledgeable manufacturing and skilled trades professionals and students.

With improved and expanded facilities, we will enhance our ability to develop top-notch, industry-ready skilled trades graduates who are capable of walking out our doors and into the workforce.
