Sheridan and Princess Auto celebrate 15 years of giving back to students

Jul 22, 2025

This spring, Sheridan was honoured to welcome the Princess Auto Foundation to celebrate their recent gift of $40,000. Their generosity is the latest in an ongoing series of annual donations that have spanned 15 years and accumulated a total of $575,000.

The proceeds of their generous support will go directly to Sheridan students, funding both the Princess Auto Foundation Scholarship and the Princess Auto Foundation Endowed Bursary within the Faculty of Applied Science and Technology (FAST).

Each year, the scholarship will support 40 students from skilled trades programs with $1,000. Scholarships will be awarded based on their academic merit, while the endowed bursary will provide approximately $1,500 to a number of students in the trades.

Sheridan’s longstanding partnership with the Princess Auto Foundation exemplifies a shared commitment to academic excellence and allows the College to better prepare the next generation of tradespeople with accessible, high-quality education. Through Princess Auto’s support, a significant number of our students are equipped with the resources and encouragement they need to thrive in their chosen trades.

Dean of the Faculty of Applied Science and Technology, Elizabeth Fabbroni, was thrilled to host students and alumni, along with David Shnider, Director of the Princess Auto Foundation.

“I’m truly grateful to count the Princess Auto Foundation among our valued community of supporters who help inspire student success,” she says. “It was a pleasure to host this event at Davis Campus and see first-hand the impact their support has on FAST students. Their generosity is not only an investment in their education, but also in our greater communities.”

Shnider echoed these sentiments, saying, “I very much look forward to my visits to Sheridan College. The students, instructors and administrative staff are all committed to a high-quality skilled trades program.”
