Every Sunset - Produced by Gustavo Bernal (Advanced Television and Film ’23)

Decorative

A daughter recounts her experience of losing her father during the COVID-19 pandemic. Her reflections show her battle against grief and resilience and hope for the future, inspired by tender memories of her father.

Diya - Produced by Aroona Khiani (Honours Bachelor of Animation ’22)

Decorative.

An Indian-Canadian girl lights a diya while visiting her family’s hometown, but the flame escapes because the girl is too ashamed of its colour to let it shine. This film explores themes of belonging, cultural identity and guilt while showing off the richness and vibrance of an Indian festival.
