In the leadup to the 95th Academy Awards in Los Angeles, California in March, Sheridan President and Vice Chancellor Dr. Janet Morrison spent time with various alumni who have planted roots and found success south of the border, including Best Animated Feature nominees Domee Shi (Turning Red) and Chris Williams (The Sea Beast) who have planted roots and found success south of the border.
The Consul General of Canada in LA, Zaib Shaikh (Theatre and Drama Studies ’97), opened the doors of his home to celebrate a wealth of Canadian talent in the film industry. Dr. Morrison joined Shi, Williams, award-winning author Jon Klassen (Animation ’05), Oscar-winning director Sarah Polley and others at the star-studded event.
