At Sheridan, we prioritize fostering an inclusive learning and working environment where every individual can maximize their potential.

In the face of recent global challenges, we understand the impact natural crises and political unrest have had on members of our community.

We also understand that the evolving situation between the governments of Canada and India can be stressful for many of our students and staff, who have direct and indirect ties to India. As we navigate these uncertainties, our shared commitment to demonstrating understanding and respect is paramount.

At all times, Sheridan’s priority is to deliver a high-quality, safe learning experience to our students – both domestic and international.

Sheridan regularly works in partnership with Global Affairs Canada to support our current and prospective international students, many of whom go on to become Canadian citizens.

We are continuing to monitor the ongoing situation between Canada and India. We are also proactively making sure our students and staff – including those who are here from across India – are aware of the resources and supports Sheridan has readily available at its three campuses in Brampton, Mississauga, and Oakville.

Some of these supports and well-being resources include:
  • Employee support, found through the Employee and Family Assistance Program.
  • Free and confidential counselling available to all Sheridan students during regular business hours.
  • After-hours free and confidential counselling, which can be accessed 24/7 by domestic students and international students via EmpowerMe by calling 1-833-628-5589.
  • International students also have access to keep.meSAFE by calling 1-844-451-9700
