Sheridan delays return of most in-person classes until March 2022
Jan 18, 2022
Sheridan informed learners yesterday that the majority of its programs during the Winter 2022 semester will continue to be delivered virtually until at least March 7, 2022, given the continuing high rate of community spread of COVID-19 in its home communities.
The decision to remain primarily online reflects Sheridan’s ongoing commitment to the health and safety of students and staff as a top priority, and its resolve to follow the guidance of local public health leaders.
Some programs, where in-person instruction is critical to meeting learning outcomes, will begin on-campus classes on January 24, in addition to those that resumed in-person learning on January 10. Students in these programs will be notified directly by their faculty.
Should public health guidelines permit, Sheridan will strive to open additional non-academic spaces on campus over the next several weeks to afford students the opportunity to access more labs, studios and study spaces when it is safe to do so.
Sheridan’s faculty and staff continue support learners during these challenging times, with a suite of support services available remotely.
