Update on Sheridan planning for fall 2021 semester

Mar 11, 2021

Decisions about course delivery at Sheridan are always guided by our unwavering commitment to academic quality. For the fall 2021 term, we will continue to take direction from public health on precautions to limit the transmission of COVID-19 and safeguard the wellbeing of students and employees.

The rollout and effectiveness of COVID-19 vaccines in Canada are fostering hope. That optimism is fuelling active planning for a safe return to campus in September 2021.

The Spring/Summer 2021 term will be delivered with a mix of classes including both online and in-person learning with strict adherence to masking, physical distancing and other safety measures.

Across the institution we are excited to be planning for a fall with more options for residence, more in-class, hands-on learning and more on-campus community, wellness and co-curricular activities and maximizing opportunities for in-class, hands-on learning.

We look forward to researchers being able to increase their in-person interactions and to employees being able to return under the auspices of flexible work arrangements. We will still plan for flexible, hybrid learning options throughout the 2021/2022 academic year.

The pandemic facilitated increased agility and flexibility in our course delivery. We will leverage this enhanced capacity as the COVID-19 pandemic continues to impact our operations.

As always, we are grateful for the continued commitment of our community to academic excellence, health, safety and emotional wellness.
