Golden Globe-nominated projects fueled by Sheridan grads
Sheridan alumni contributed to four of the five films nominated for Best Animated Motion Picture at the 78th Golden Globes. Grads also worked on projects nominated in three other categories: Best Television Series – Drama, Best Television Series – Comedy/Musical, and Best Motion Picture – Comedy/Musical.
Nominees of this year’s Golden Globes, which recognize excellence in film and television, were announced on Wednesday, Feb. 3.
Films nominated for Best Animated Motion Picture were propelled by Sheridan talent, as Soul, Over the Moon, Onward and The Croods: A New Age all feature multiple grads among their credits.
Sheridan alumni also played a role in the productions of several nominated television series, including The Mandalorian and Lovecraft Country, up for Best Television Series – Drama, along with Emily in Paris and Schitt’s Creek, vying for Best Television Series – Comedy/Musical. Additionally, grads worked on Palm Springs, contending for Best Motion Picture – Comedy/Musical.
The winners will be announced Sunday, Feb. 28.
