You may place a book on hold (1) to have it sent from one campus to the other, or (2) if it is checked out to someone else and you wish to be next in line to sign it out.
Only circulating materials can be placed on hold. Reference and reserve materials may not be placed on hold.
To place a book on hold, search the catalogue and click on the book title.
On the left side of the page, click the Place Hold link.

To Place a Hold enter your User ID (your student #) & library PIN, select a pick up location and expiration date and click Place Hold.

The system will tell you when the book is expected to arrive (this is normally within 48 hours).
The process looks the same to request a book that is already signed out to another borrower. There is a limit of one hold request for each copy of a book.
Videos may not be placed on hold. They must be booked by calling Holly Ashbourne at Davis at (905)459-7533 ext. 4338 or Geraldine Venn at Trafalgar at (905)845-9430 ext. 2482.
