Student Advisement Centre - First Year Connections

The role of the Student Advisement Centre/First Year Connections Peer Mentor is to make a positive impact on the Sheridan student experience by providing consistent, timely, and accurate information. These Peer Mentors have the opportunity to assist students in making a successful adjustment to Sheridan, while gaining experience in a professional work environment and enhancing employability skills.

This Peer Mentor position has two roles. As a First Year Connection Peer Mentor, the responsibilities are centered on communication with first year students and assisting in the organization of First Year Connections events. As a Student Advisement Centre Peer Mentor, they are responsible for providing excellent customer service and assistance to a diverse group of students, staff, and community individuals.
