What to do before Sheridan

We are excited you are coming to Sheridan! There are several key items that you should consider completing prior to attending Orientation in January. You should:

  • Secure housing and transportation - if you are planning to move to Oakville or Brampton and need to find housing, visit the links below

If you will be commuting to the College using public transit, be sure to research transit schedules and routes to find the most efficient way to get to campus.

  • Make a budget - making a budget will help keep you on track financially during the semester. For help with making a budget, visit the CanLearn budgeting website. If you find that your budget is tight, you may want to visit the Financial Aid Office (Trafalgar Road Campus-Room D100/Davis Campus-Room B212h/HMC- Welcome Desk) to discuss your funding options.

  • Ask any questions you have - going to college is a new and exciting experience. To reduce any anxiety you may have about starting at Sheridan, be sure to ask questions. No question is too big or small to ask the Student Advisement Centre staff, simply send us an email at askanadvisor@sheridaninstitute.ca and we will respond with an answer within one business day.
