Co-op and internship students pay an additional fee of $525 per work term. This fee is collected with your tuition and goes to support the broad array of valuable support services provided to co-op students. These include:
- Extensive marketing activities to promote Co-op and internship programs, and generate job opportunities
- Delivery and evaluation are important aspects of the co-op program including the (COWT10022, 10023, 53815) preparatory credit course and evaluation of your COWT (Work term) course.
- Individual mock job interviews and interview coaching sessions
- One-on-one job search development counselling
- Resume and cover letter advice and critiquing
- Access to Sheridan’s online job postings 24 hrs/day
- Scheduled job interviews
It’s important to note that while we do our best to help you find a co-op job placement students are expected to use their own initiative in partnership with our advisors to secure appropriate work term employment. In recent years we’ve assisted upwards of 95% of Sheridan’s Co-op students in finding work term placements.
The College does not receive additional federal or provincial money to offset the costs of offering co-op / Internship programs.
