About the Centre

Sheridan's new Centre for Advanced Manufacturing and Design Technologies is located at the Davis Campus in Brampton. The 18,000 square foot Centre houses state-of-the-art labs and a flexible automation and fabrication centre to support the Manufacturing Engineering Technology, Integrated Manufacturing Systems, Solid Modeling, and Manufacturing Management programs.

The Centre's mission is to help meet the current and future needs of local manufacturers as a means of stimulating local economic development and prosperity. To achieve this objective, Sheridan, government and local industry have all worked to establish the Centre as pioneering, long-term solution.

Sheridan's long-term commitment to the Centre has been supplemented by a generous grant of $2.5 million from the City of Brampton, $2.9 million from the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade's Strategic Skills Investment Fund, and over $1.5 million in cash and in-kind support from business and industry.

This unique public-private partnership demonstrates how cooperation, innovative planning and technology can produce flexible and lasting solutions to some of the most challenging problems facing our cities, regions and country.
