Sheridan’s General Arts and Science – Pre-Business Profile Program is a great beginning to your business education because it acquaints you with a wide variety of potential business majors and career options, while you also earn college credits. If you know you want a business education, but are unsure of the exact discipline you wish to study, this is the program for you.
The pre-business curriculum earns college credit in:
- Accounting
- Mathematics
- Computer applications
- Communications
- Human relations
You will:
- Develop writing, math, critical thinking and interpersonal skills
- Build proficiency and confidence to succeed in postsecondary education
- Get an introduction to key academic disciplines
- Work with an academic adviser and career counsellor to chart your course
- Receive personalized attention in a small classroom setting
In order to provide you with the most beneficial curriculum that fully prepares you for rigorous business college coursework, Sheridan will place you in appropriate courses based on your past academic record or proficiency test results.
Transfer Opportunities
Upon completing the Pre-Business Profile, you can apply to the University Profile, or Business diploma or certificate programs. If you begin a Sheridan Business program, you may transfer up to four courses. Some credits are transferable to other certificate and diploma programs at Sheridan and at other colleges.

Program Eligibility
Ontario Secondary School Diploma or equivalent, including these required courses: - One English, Grade 12 (ENG4C or ENG4U)
or
Mature student status. (See “Admissions” section for details.)
Applicant Selection
Eligible applicants are selected on the basis of previous academic achievement (the average of their six highest senior-level credits, including required courses).
Applicants who do not meet the admission requirements for this program will be assessed and advised individually and may be considered for other, related programs.
