I am now currently furthering in continuing my education at University because I want to become a teacher. "Being a graduate from Early Childhood Education, at Sheridan College Institute of Technology, I have learned many things. I am sure there are many of you who want to use E.E.C to help you get a step closer to teachers college, I was one of those people too. I found that E.C.E was the perfect choice because it not only allowed you to take courses that help you to understand the different types of families there are, types of disorders and how to deal with each one, different programs you could use in an Early Childhood classroom, making Individual Programming Plans it also allowed you to have hands on experience. Although the everyday planning forms can get annoying the experience within the classroom is definitely the best part of the program. It allows you to take everything you have learned and apply it to everyday experiences and also gives you the opportunity to see if this is the actual field for you. If you are one of those people who want to go to teachers college than this will look amazing on your resume as well. Although this might sound like a lot to take in there is some fun at Sheridan. With Sheridan you are assigned a particular class and these are the people that you have EVERY class with together. By doing this I was able to become friends with many people and even now I am still friends with some of them. The teachers at Sheridan are also awesome, for the most part. Not only are they there to teach you but they are also there if you need help or just need someone to talk too. Coming out of Sheridan I not only received a diploma, I gained awesome friends and an experience that I will definitely never forget and I wish you the same experience that I had."

"I have just finished my first year at Sheridan College enrolled in Early Childhood Education. I was very impressed with how dedicated and involved the teachers were and the relationships which developed between the students and teachers. Sheridan runs the High/Scope ECE program and the material taught in class was well matched to the development of children. Another thing I liked about Sheridan is the excellent placements found for students. This course is also laptop based providing an opportunity for students to further their computer skills and opening more job opportunities upon graduation. Overall, I was very pleased with this course and recommend it for anyone who is thinking about working with children."
