Award-winning Canadian ceramic artist and designer Tara Lynne Franco is a graduate of the Crafts and Design program at Sheridan College and has been working clay for ten years, beginning on a part-time basis as a hobby and gradually taking on ceramics as a full-time career. Passion for the environment and a commitment to make a difference in her community, both inspires and informs her work and is at the root of her goal to evoke positive and creative responses to the stark realities of the impacts of our actions on our local and global environments. Her work can be seen at prominent galleries throughout Ontario, Manitoba, Nova Scotia and Florida. She has received several awards and recognitions for her work at provincial and local level and her work is part of international private and public collections including the Government of Ontario, Sheridan College and the Burlington Art Centre. Since graduating in 2006 Tara Lynne Franco has been designing and producing work in her studio in Hamilton.
