Whether you’re in the accounting field or just getting started, Sheridan’s Accounting Certificate will broaden your accounting knowledge and help you acquire the basic skills needed to start an accounting career. Many of these courses are accredited by the Certified General Accounts Association of Ontario (CGA) and may be applied to their program of study provided minimum grade requirements are met.

Transfer credits are granted for university, college and professional association courses in which the standards and content are equivalent to courses in the CGA program of professional studies. Acceptable standing for transfer credits must have been obtained by written examination.
CGA Ontario assumes that students are competent in the courses from which they have received transfer credits and questions asked in subsequent examinations will be based on that assumption. Students who feel that there may be gaps in their knowledge of any course in which they have received a transfer credit are expected to rectify this by undertaking the
necessary study.
The Certified General Accountants of Ontario accepts the following Sheridan Continuing Education and Corporate Training courses toward exemption. A grade of “B” is required in each of the equivalent courses in order to obtain a transfer credit. For more information on equivalent courses, please call the CGA office at 416-322-6520. |
