Arts and Aging Day

September 24, 2020

Together with the Schlegel-UWaterloo Research Institute for Aging, Dr. Kate Dupuis, Schlegel Innovation Leader in Arts and Aging and the Sheridan Centre for Elder Research will be launching “Arts and Aging Day Canada” on September 24, 2020. Arts and Aging Canada is a day devoted to celebrating arts based activities for older adults across the sector.

The Centre for Elder Research and Community Partners Launch New Toolkit to Support Older Immigrant Adults

The Building Connected Communities: Social Isolation and Loneliness Toolkit assists individuals who interact or work with older adults such as caregivers, healthcare workers, faith leaders and community organizations. It includes a checklist to determine if an older adult might be at risk of social isolation and a list of research-informed tips for older adults to get connected within their communities.
