Sheridan offering employers the opportunity to win one of six fully funded co-op positions for summer 2021

Employers are invited to learn about Sheridan’s more than 50 co-op-eligible programs, how to hire a skilled Sheridan co-op student and funding supports available.

Organizations can participate in one of three information sessions (April 6, 7, 8). Six eligible employers will win a fully-funded summer 2021 co-op position.

In the face of a challenging economy, access to wage incentives matters to many employers. To help, there are several funding options available to offset the cost of hiring talented Sheridan co-op students — young professionals who can offer fresh ideas, creativity and critical thinking to the organizations with which they work.

Sheridan’s continually innovative approach to co-operative education and work-integrated learning over the past 30 years has led to both provincial and national student awards recognition for many years running. Through co-op opportunities, Sheridan students bring new energy, ideas and skills to the workplace, while employers play a part in training the next generation of professionals.

Most recently, recognizing that the COVID-19 pandemic was making it difficult for students to complete their summer internships, Sheridan developed a Virtual Internship Program (VIP), allowing students to earn work-term credits remotely, offering flexibility and customizability through a learning experience that is both experiential and essential.
