Sheridan and Canadian Professional Sales Association sign MOU
Sheridan’s Pilon School of Business has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Canadian Professional Sales Association (CPSA) that will give marketing students the ability to earn a professional certificate from CPSA. Under the terms of the MOU, students in the Marketing diploma program who complete six core courses that align with the CPSA Skills and Knowledge Competencies, will be eligible to apply for the Professional Sales Certificate from the CPSA.
“We’re delighted to know that our courses align with the CPSA competency requirements. This is an exciting opportunity for our students,” said Sylvia Lowndes, Dean of the Pilon School of Business. “It validates the quality and industry relevance of our curriculum.”
In addition, earning the CPSA Professional Sales Certificate can also give students a head start in attaining the Certified Sales Professional (CSP) designation, by fulfilling its educational requirements.
Sheridan students will also be eligible to compete for the CPSA’s Sales Excellence Awards, which recognize outstanding academic performance and engagement in college activities. Five cash prizes are awarded in five Canadian regions annually.
“The CPSA has a longstanding history of supporting the sales community, and we are pleased to recognize Sheridan students who demonstrate skills that will contribute to their future success. With the Professional Sales Certificate in hand, these students will be instantly demonstrating their abilities to prospective employers and readiness for the workforce,” said Peter Irwin, President & CEO of the CPSA.
