Voices of South Asia

Sheridan is hosting Voices of South Asia, an evening of discussion and celebration, in recognition of South Asian Heritage Month and the significant contributions of Canada’s South Asian community.

This year’s event includes a panel of some of Canada’s most accomplished citizens of South Asian heritage:

Rahul Singh, Founder and Executive Director of GlobalMedic

Mariam Pirbhai, award-winning author and professor at Wilfrid Laurier University

Lata Pada, Artistic Director of Sampradaya Dance Creations

Ali Hassan, actor, comedian and CBC radio host

The event will also feature a performance by a troupe from Sampradaya Dance Creations, and the screening of a documentary featuring South Asian students at Sheridan sharing their stories.

It is free of charge and open to the public. Appetizers and refreshments will be provided.  Attendees are asked to register via Eventbrite.
