Supporting Optimal Aging and Fostering Social Connectedness Through the Innovative Use of Technology

Time 8:00 AM - 9:30 AM

Location - New Residence Conference Centre, 1430 Trafalgar Road, Oakville

The Centre for Elder Research has a long history of exploring the benefits and use of technology to support aging in place and increased quality of life for older adults. A new, and increasingly important, area of work in this field is the consideration of how technologies can foster social connectedness and counteract the loneliness and social isolation felt by many older adults, and often their family members or care partners as well.

We invite you to participate in a think tank hosted by the Centre, to explore how innovative technologies and their practical application can support optimal aging by focusing on social engagement.

Please RSVP by July 20 to Marta Owsik at 905-845-9430 ext. 4282 or email at marta.owsik@sheridancollege.ca. See the poster below for more details.
