Sheridan Celebrates Canada Career Month

Location - All campuses

This November marks the fourth annual national Canada Career Month and Sheridan is doing much to celebrate! A variety of departments including Career Integrated Learning, Student Affairs, Library Services, Student Leadership and Sheridan Peer Mentors have combined their collaborative talents to host a wide variety of events which relate to this year’s theme: Explore the Possibilities.

Join us for these events and more:

  • Business Career Fair - Nov. 6, 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at HMC
  • STEM Career Fair: Nov.14, 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Davis
  • 21 Career Hacks and Career-Ready Workshops: offered weekly, all campuses.
  • 9 Peer Mentor Outreaches, a national Social Media campaign 

For the past four years, Sheridan has been a trailblazer with our tremendous offerings, and we continue to grow! This year, we are thrilled that our Mississauga, Brampton and Oakville Library systems are collaborating with us to cross-promote our many print and electronic resources which help our communities access  valuable career and employment-related information.

Canada Career Month is a national event organized by the Canadian Council for Career Development (CCCD) and supported by numerous organizations and volunteers across the country. The overall purpose of Canada Career Month is to create and advance discussions about the future of employment in our country.
