A Rights-Based Approach to Poverty Elimination

Sheridan is proud to support the Halton Poverty Roundtable in presenting A Rights-Based Approach to Poverty Elimination on Thursday, September 21 from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Sheridan Conference Centre at our Trafalgar Campus in Oakville.

The event is a day of learning and reflecting on what it means to lead with a human-rights based approach in poverty elimination work. Renu Mandhane, Chief Commissioner of the Ontario Human Rights Commission will deliver the keynote address. The day will include a panel presentation followed by a Q & A and afternoon break-out sessions that will give attendees the opportunity to delve deeper into various practice areas.

The event is free and open to all community members. A light breakfast will be provided for all morning registrants. Lunch will be available for full-day registrants.
