Attention math enthusiasts and math appreciators alike: You’re invited to the 11th Annual Davis Campus Pi(e) Day Celebration!

  • Date: Thursday, March 14
  • Time: 11 a.m. – 1 p.m.
  • Location: Davis Student Union Centre

Join us and celebrate this never-ending number (3.14159…) and Einstein’s birthday as well. Enjoy free pie (assorted flavours), learn about top STEM careers, discover campus services, and answer fun, skill-testing questions!

Launched in 1988 at the Exploratorium in San Francisco, the date March 14 is an ode to the ratio of a circle’s circumference to its diametre, which is 3.14. March 14 represents the third month and 14th day, hence the connection. Pi Day has become an international holiday, celebrated live and online around the world.

Pi Day is generously sponsored by Sara Lee Foods and supported by numerous student volunteers.
