ATHLETIC PEER MENTOR

Job Summary: 

Reporting to the Peer Mentor Supervisor of the Athletic Department, the Peer Mentor shares the responsibility of the daily operations and on-site promotions of varsity and athletic programs. This includes organizing and aiding in the operation of Campus Recreation and Varsity tournaments and Sheridan intramural and extramural league sports.

Job Duties:

-Interact with students about various sports leagues and tournaments
-Promote usage of Better Bruins Fitness Centre facility and equipment
-Solicit students to attend and support the different varsity programs at the respective campuses along with participation from the peer mentor
-Recruit students to participate in various sports programs offered by the campus
-Assistant Convenor for the intramural league on Tuesday evenings at the Brampton Sportsplex 
-Perform special duties as assigned by the supervisor
-Knowledge of general office procedures with the ability to multi-task

Convenors who satisfy the above criteria may be hired specifically for the following activities:

Hockey 
Basketball 
Indoor and Outdoor Cricket 
Ski/Snowboard 
Volleyball
