Grace Bruch- Employment Consultant (Davis campus) 

Grace brings a positive approach when consulting clients. Co-workers describe her as empathetic and supportive. She loves the rewarding process of helping her clients grow and leading them to personal success. Grace is an advocate of co-op placements. “Students will gain valuable hands- on industry experience which provides an edge when entering the job market”. Social media is an avenue she is also passionate about. Personal branding and platforms such as LinkedIn and Twitter are beneficial as a gateway to professional networking. 
Prior to Sheridan College, Grace was involved in Employment Ontario’s Youth Job Connection program. She provided employment support for youth experiencing barriers to employment. She holds a post undergraduate diploma as a Career Development Practitioner from Conestoga College. Grace is now pursing her Human Resources designation through Sheridan College. She believes “Every day holds something different and an opportunity for learning”.

Joseph Conrad - Employment Consultant ( HMC Campus)

Joseph has over a decade of experience as a Job Developer, Facilitator and Employment Consultant. In addition to an Honours Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Toronto, Joseph is a proud Sheridan Alumni, graduating from the Public Relations (Corporate Communications) Graduate Certificate Program at Sheridan. Joseph is passionate about bringing real world experience to his students from his time working directly with recruiters from companies such as RBC, Scotiabank, TD, CIBC, American Express, Winners, Costco, and Porter Airlines.  In his spare time, Joseph has volunteered for the United Way, and has been a keynote speaker for Standard and Poors and Accenture. Joseph has also been featured on 680 news, and Breakfast Television, and has contributed to articles in the Toronto Star. As an Employment Consultant at Sheridan, Joseph is excited to work with both students and alumni to give them the skills to help them successfully move  towards employment.

Lisa Hierons – Employment Consultant (Davis Campus)

Lisa has over 18 years of experience assisting diverse groups of people from a variety of industries and professions with meeting the challenge of finding and securing meaningful employment.  She has worked with the fields of business, arts and animation as well as social services and has successfully helped students transition from school to the workplace. Her areas of expertise includes teaching job seekers the skills necessary to conduct an effective job search (resume and cover letter writing, job interviewing, networking, using social media, and job maintenance) as well as workshop development and facilitation.  Within her career she has successfully worked with current students, new graduates, alumni, mature workers and newcomers to Canada. Prior to arriving at Sheridan, Lisa worked in the animation and arts industry in the GTA, which provided her with first-hand knowledge of this industry, particularly within production.  She has also been involved in providing outplacement services, developing and facilitating professional development workshops and training sessions as well as job coaching. Lisa is passionate about supporting, motivating and inspiring people to pursue their goals and living up to their fullest potential.

Melina Elia – Employment Consultant (Trafalgar Campus)            

Melina has over 6 years of experience coaching and supporting youth, including students and alumni, and is passionate about helping people identify their skills and find meaningful employment.  She has worked in the not-for-profit industry on the federal government’s Skills Link and Career Focus programs and an Employment Ontario pre-apprenticeship program. Within her past roles as an Employment Advisor and Program Coordinator, Melina has developed and facilitated workshops for youth, supported them in developing effective job search strategies, and matched youth to industry employers in the GTHA, focusing on retention and career management.  Her educational background includes a Bachelor of Commerce degree from McMaster University and she is working towards her Certificate of Competence in the French Language at Mohawk College.
