  • Interview preparation.
  • Developing a job search strategy, locating advertised employment opportunities and learning how to network your way to unadvertised opportunities.

Erin Bryer - Employment Consultant (Davis Campus)

Erin has over 9 years experience working collaboratively with job seekers to achieve their immediate and long term career goals and she has interacted with post-secondary students in various leadership roles at Brock University, where she earned her BA in History and Sociology. Most recently, Erin worked at an Employment Ontario agency delivering employment related services including resume and cover letter preparation, providing guidance on how to develop effective job search strategies, preparing job seekers for interview success as well as facilitating variety of group workshops and information sessions on career preparation, job retention and Employment Standards.Erin is excited to return to her roots of working with students, and looks forward to being part of the process of helping Sheridan students and alumni build their skills and find meaningful employment.

 Joseph Conrad - Employment Consultant (HMC Campus)

 Joseph has over a decade of experience as a Job Developer, Facilitator and Employment Consultant. In addition to an Honours Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Toronto, Joseph is a proud Sheridan Alumni, graduating from the Public Relations (Corporate Communications) Graduate Certificate Program at Sheridan. Joseph is passionate about bringing real world experience to his students from his time working directly with recruiters from companies such as RBC, Scotiabank, TD, CIBC, American Express, Winners, Costco, and Porter Airlines.  In his spare time, Joseph has volunteered for the United Way, and has been a keynote speaker for Standard and Poors and Accenture. Joseph has also been featured on 680 news, and Breakfast Television, and has contributed to articles in the Toronto Star. As an Employment Consultant at Sheridan, Joseph is excited to work with both students and alumni to give them the skills to help them successfully move  towards employment.

Sharon Hussein- Swanton– Employment Consultant (Davis Campus)

Sharon has over 10 years of experience working in the employment sector, within the Human Resources Management field and in Career Development.Sharon holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business & Society, graduating concurrently with a certificate in Human Resources Management from York University. In addition, she has attained a diploma in the Career and Work Counsellor program at George Brown College, graduating with honors.Sharon worked as an Employment Specialist/Job Developer at a non-profit organization delivering Employment Ontario programs to a variety of different job seekers, including resume preparation, interview skills, facilitating career strategy workshops/seminars, and job matching and placement (partnering with employers such as MARS, Canadian Tire, the Region of Peel and Amazon).Sharon is looking forward to using her experience to guide students and alumni of Sheridan College towards their career aspirations.

Melina Elia - Employment Consultant (Trafalgar Campus)             

Melina has over 6 years of experience coaching and supporting youth, including students and alumni, and is passionate about helping people identify their skills and find meaningful employment.  She has worked in the not-for-profit industry on the federal government’s Skills Link and Career Focus programs and an Employment Ontario pre-apprenticeship program. Within her past roles as an Employment Advisor and Program Coordinator, Melina has developed and facilitated workshops for youth, supported them in developing effective job search strategies, and matched youth to industry employers in the GTHA, focusing on retention and career management.  Her educational background includes a Bachelor of Commerce degree from McMaster University and she is working towards her Certificate of Competence in the French Language at Mohawk College.
