Residence Staff & Volunteers


The General Manager is responsible for the operation of all facets of the Sheridan College Residences at Davis and Trafalgar campuses. The GM is committed to ensuring that your overall experience in Residence is a safe, enjoyable and successful one.



Many of the day-to-day activities in the Residence are overseen by the Residence Services Manager/Supervisors. One manager is situated at the Davis campus and two supervisors are located at the Trafalgar Campus. If you have any questions or concerns related to your stay in Residence please do not hesitate to contact them.



The RLC is responsible for all matters related to student life, including overseeing the Residence life program, providing support services to students, and administering the judicial process associated with the RCLS. The RLC also supervises the Resident Advisors and volunteers working in Residence.



The role of RA is filled by returning/upper year students who live in the building, creating a sense of community on ever floor, and planning educational and social activities in the Residence. RAs provide valuable support and guidance to residents, while at the same time acting as a liaison with Residence Management. The RAs complete nightly rounds of the building and are available through the Residence Life Office or the Front Desk. RAs have the tools and knowledge to get you the answers, direction and/or assistance you need, or can simply be someone to talk to.

Our front desk is open 24 hours a day, 7 days per week. The Residence Services Representatives are always available to help you with any questions you may have about the Residence and the surrounding area. You will need to see them to sign out vacuums, obtain keys for various controlled rooms or facilities, and to sign-in guests. It is the responsibility of the RSR to ensure the safety and security of all residents and our visitors.



Housekeepers and Maintenance staff are responsible for the daily cleaning and maintenance of all common areas in the Residence. Housekeepers will access suites on a bi-weekly basis to complete a regularly scheduled light cleaning of the bathroom and to report any deficiencies that may not have been previously reported. Maintenance will assess Work Requests daily Monday through Friday, and perform repairs on the building and in suites as required. They also conduct daily preventative maintenance to reduce the probability of deficiencies that may cause inconveniences to our Residence community.


The Sheridan Residence Council is a group of student volunteers within the residence. As a representative body of the residence student population, the SRC’s primary function is to advocate for the residents of the building. The SRC aims to enhance the residence experience and foster academic success by practicing high quality student leadership through programming, volunteerism, and student support initiatives. The Residence Council creates opportunities for residence students to participate in leadership initiatives, learn valuable new skills, and add value to the residence experience. Volunteering in the residence through the Residence Council is a great way to get involved for anyone who is looking to make friends, get co-curricular record experience, and become a student leader. Any student can volunteer with the Residence Council – we are always looking for positive, open minded individuals to act as role models in the residence to help build community.
