Scholarships and Bursaries

Each year, more and more students require financial assistance to realize their dreams. More than 70% of Sheridan students seek some form of financial support while attending Sheridan.

Scholarships are merit-based awards designed to offset tuition expenses for top-performing students. They provide incentives to be academically successful and encourage learners to work hard. Sheridan is in need of more funding to support entrance scholarships to help attract the best students to our classrooms, reward academic excellence and to create dynamic learning environments.

Scholarships also offset costs for students who fall in the gap between high and low income households.

Bursaries provide funding for students with financial need. Research shows that work can take up more than 15 hours per week and becomes an impediment to academic success. For many students the stresses of working make it difficult for them to graduate on time, or graduate with the high grades they have the potential to achieve. For other students, the work/study life is unsustainable, and they discontinue their studies all together.
