What is happening at Sheridan right now that can benefit from my support?
For over 45 years, Sheridan has been pushing the boundaries of higher education. From our roots as a one-campus, community college to our current position as the backbone of higher education that connects 1.6 million residents in three West GTA cities, Sheridan has continually evolved to help people, businesses and communities succeed.
We are on a journey to be Canada’s premier undergraduate teaching university. Sheridan University will be a hub where learners of all ages can pursue different pathways to customize their education. Our post graduate certificates will help those seeking the practical knowledge, hands-on experience and industry connections needed to augment an existing undergraduate degree and help kick-start a career.
While other colleges may match our efforts to offer relevant degrees and create important pathways for learners, what will set Sheridan apart will be our ability to instill in our students a combination of the hard and soft skills needed to thrive in a future where success is increasingly tied to the power of ideas.
How many students are in need of financial assistance?
Year after year, students struggle to meet their tuition costs. Sheridan has 18,000 fulltime students. Over 70% of them seek financial assistance. Government support provides for less than half of Sheridan’s funding needs for students and capital. Donations help Sheridan enhance and grow our programming as well as build the capital infrastructure needed to provide a premier education.
Can I direct my support to a specific program, award, scholarship or campus?
Absolutely. You can direct your donation where you would most like to help or we can apply your donation to our area of greatest need.
Are there any tax benefits for my donation?
Sheridan College Foundation will issue a tax receipt where allowable for all gifts of $20 or more. For gifts made through multiple payments, a year-end tax receipt will be issued.
How can I make a gift?
You can make a gift to Sheridan using our online donation form, by sending a cheque (payable to Sheridan College Foundation) to Sheridan College, Advancement Department, 1430 Trafalgar Road, Oakville ON L6H 2L1, or by calling 905-815-4299 with your credit card information.
